these are some cards I have done for Valentines day getting them done early for hubby to sell hopefully

new cards

this is one of the cards I have done for Craftsonthenet January challenge the theme is out with the old so we can use up some of old crafty stuff and make room for all the new goodies we recieved over Christmas

Happy new year

A friend and fellow blogger wrote something yesterday in her post that made me think about the year that is coming to n end she asked how the year has been for us good bad or what and said if it was a bad one put it behind you as there is nothing you can do but look ahead.My 2010 has been a pick "n" mix really I have some lovely up moments like starting my blog getting to know all you lovely crafter joined forums and made more friends on those even had my cards published in a magazine,but it's had it's down side as well some people that know me personally have said that I have improved a bit over the last year with my ear problems but I can't see it myself and it hits home alot this time of year as everyone gets to go out and celebrate and I cant which makes me sound bitter but I'm not I just feel sorry for Phil and Amy as I feel it spoils it for them but as people have said I have seen a bit of improvement so I must stay possitive and aim to do more in the year ahead hopefully sometime not to far away I will be able to go to gigs again or even to the local pub and see in the new year.hope 2010 was a good one for you and that 2011 will be even better so what ever you're drinking have one on me and have a great new year

Over on crafty cardmakers they're asking you to show one of your first cards and your all time fave card well you all know which is my all time fave but it's here again any excuse to show it again don't think I will ever make a card I'm more chuffed about than this one and one of my first cards is a birthday card for mom

So dissappointed

Just got back from craft shop brought nothing as they are closed there is nothing on their website to say they're shut and the website is not the best to navigate around so I will have to wait it looks as if they won't be opening til after new year now I want to work there if they get all this time off over xmas

A dull dark day

It really is a horrible day today foggy cold and dark I wanted to take some pics of a couple of cards I made yesterday but it may have to wait I will see later.Also it's my friends birthday next week and I am really struggling on what card to make her and what image to use,usually I see something and think that would be great for Corrinne but so far nowt I have a real block with it but I am going to a craft shop today so I will see if anything jumps out at me and if there's a sale on I may indulge in some stamps too.I want to get some more embossing folders and nesties too as I only have a couple so I hope they have some in stock they usually do then maybe I will get some inspiration but if any of you have any ideas please let me know she is a very dear friend who I love to bits so would love something special.Well enopugh babble from me I will see you later wuth some pics hopefully

Yep that's right over at http://bizzybecsstore.blogspot.com/ to celebrate the new year she's giving away a load of candy so pop over and join in.So whats everyone up to today I still have to pop to post office in a wee while hubby has 4 days of post to send then I'm going to watch Karate Kid 2 aswell as getting some cards done also must sort out what to have for tea I am all turkeyed out could have another bite of one at least for another year anyway enjoy your lst few days of 2010 boy has this year gone quickly again why is it when you're a kid and want to grow up the years seem to drag but then as soon as you leave school and say reach 21 the years fly by.I still have a bit of xmas money to spend so will be hitting the craft shops tomorrow hopefully as I can feel it burning a hole in my purse lol

DADAH at number 1 did you guess yep my Adam & the ants card well I just adore this card so it is taking pride of place at number 1

At number 2 is my 1st bookatrix I made it for moms 80th birthday and think it came out pretty well may have over done the flowers though but hey

Number 3I made this ard for a challenge black white and something else the flower is made from hearts cut out of black & white papers then glued to a circle with a silver and black button in the centre the papers are from redhot bed

at 4 this art deco image by Debbi Moore I rally love the art deco ladies so elegant

this is number 5 in my list I love this style of card

Again same style card so this is a joint number 5 but I love the colours on this one

My top 5 xmas cards

As I said a few day ago Debby over at http://debby4000.blogspot.com/ is running at top 5 fav xmas cards then on new years eve she is doing your fav all year round cards pop over and join in here are my xmas 5 I hope you agree with me it took a while to pick them I chose them because they either challenged me or gave me great enjoyment doing them

this is one I did in my batches I made about 5 of this card and although there are only 2 colours in it I think it's simle but classy

This one I really enjoyed doing the image is so cute it's from Crafter's digital art centre a freebie for one of there challenges but I just love the image

This is one I did for a family member and I love the black & white colour scheme with that touch of pink

AAAHHH Gretchen a freebie from digi's with attitude for this on I totally went for a colour scheme I wouldn't normally pick but think it worked pretty well the back of her is brayered green with versa mark pen dotted over the card to create snow flakes the brayering was the 2nd time I had used this technique and I do like the effect but it's harder than it looks

This is one I did for the challenge over on craftsonthenet November challenge it was try something new so I did brayering and masking I had only used the masking technique once before just to try so I decided to have another go the image of Bentley was stamped then I put a mask over it .......well you all know how it's done don't you,then I brayered the background and stuck a fabric xmas tree on

so those are my top 5 as I said I hope you like them and agree with me now I have to sort out my year long favs I def know of one thats going in can you?????

Well I have just had to reclaim him from Jasper so any wet patches on him are from Jasper not me don't panic he has him back now just took him for pic and no Jasper was not amused

The snow is still coming

morning fellow crafters yep you read right it's snowing here today but there is some rain mixed in with it but it's snow all the same. Well I had a quiet day yesterday Amy and Anton spent the day here can you believe she made the poor lad help tidy her bedroom and the stupid thing he did I need to sort him out me thinks!!!! made a sock monkey but as it was my first it wasn't brill it was ok for a 1st attempt but as he was sitting on the floor next to me Jasper kept giving monkey the eye then he went for it not satisfied with everything he had for xmas no he wanted my monkey and he was having it so he plodded over picked up said monkey took him to a nice corner of the room and started to chew and nibble at it it is now Jaspers new toy I didn't buy him any cuddlies this year as he has sooooo many but it looks like he wasn't forgiving me for it and took monkey as compensation I'm trying to do another one and Jaspers giving that one the eye as well but he can bog off he ain't having it!I want to do a few a few cards today nothing important apart from one I have to do for C.O.T.N challenge which stars next week please pop over and take a look the new challenge start Saturday 1st jan it should start the following Friday but I thought I would bring it forward a week just to see if we can  get more entries I do hope so you get to win a prize of £30worth of craft goodies courtesy of Practical Publishing so pop over and join in.

Well thats it for another year hope you all had a great day with you families,we had a
the day with Phil's mom &dad & his nan and granddad then later on Carol's aunty,uncle and cousin came over.We all pitched in helping with the Christmas dinner then us 3 came home about 5is for a couple of hours to feed Jasper & Charley and loose them out then went back.Rob (Phil's dad) had made a quiz for us to play on the night a bit like a pub quiz it was pretty good and caused a few laughs with some of the answers unfotunately we didn't win (we came last) and carol's aunty,uncle &cousin won.Amy did really well (again) for prezzies and money which no doubt she will spend in the next couple of days Phil had mainly money as he is so awkward to buy for so he can get what he wants and me well I had some beautiful earings off Phil with some perfume an Adam Ant t-shirt and cd with magazine and some other bits off Amy I had some Angel & demon perfume,Money off my mom and from Carol & Rob I had some money some more perfume (are they trying to tell me something)and a beautiful emerald and diamond gold ring I have wanted one for ages as it's my birth stone.They got it when they went to Sri Lanka and had it made specially for me by a jewler they know over there I will try and put a pic of on here later.well it's going to be a quiet day today for me I need it might do some crafting later Phil has gone to watch Albion.

Are you ready yet

Well it's been a bit exciting here for some reason it kicked off at neibours house and the two son's have took off in police car both with blood on their heads and faces we heard a lot of shouting and some throwing of things then the next we know 2 police cars and a paramedic turns up then another 3 police cars and an ambulance as I said the two sons have been handcuffed and taken off but the ambulance is still there so don't know whats gone on well at least it was more exciting than whats on the telly still. So are we all ready for the big day I still have sausage rolls and stuff in oven then will put turkey in later no crafting tonight might even have a drinkypoo later lol well it is Christmas so with that I will be gone and merry Christmas to you all

Not long now

Well what a day I had yesterday  went last min xmas shopping with Phil in the morning got to Merry Hill at 8.45 and although not many of the shops were open yet there was still a few people up there waiting we weren't up there very long as he new exactly what he needed to get (a prezzy for Amy) and then we came home after popping in a couple of other shops on the way back to the car.Then when he had got his orders together we headed to the PO,we had ordered the shopping to be delivered yesterday afternoon aswell but Asda sent us an email Monday night saying that due to the weather they weren't delivering funny that Iceland and Sainsbury's were delivering yesterday we saw them so we had to bite the bullet and go in stoer how inconvenient we left it til about 5ish hoping that it would be a bit quieter for my sake but the carpark was rammed and inside was no better you would have thought it was the end of the world the way they were shopping blimey the shops are only shut for 2 days and where do peoples manners go they were like animals snatching grabing barging into you it was stupid it was the poor staff I felt sorry for trying to stack the shelves anyway we got through it yes it made me ill but it's one day so fingers crossed I won't have to do it again.Anyway we came home had tea and I decided to take it easy for the night and just did a bit of knitting nothing exciting I just have an idea in my head for new year and wanted to have a head start more about that later though.So today I have a couple of cards which I will get done for bubble challenge ears letting me of course they are screaming at the mo hope they calm down.Oh and yes I have internet for now too it's been playing up terrible the last few days so have hardly been on here at all just couldn't get a connection I hope it's just the weather but it has been playing silly beggers for a while temperamental thing well I'm off to see what the rest of you have been up to so

A snowy afternoon
