some news on scruff bless him spoke to a lady sunday about him from cats protection she had resigned on the saturday but said she would try to help but spoke to me today and was told to but out basically so she gave me some numbers to call I spoke to a lady who told me to ring another lady and so I told her his poor little story and she is going to phone a vet in the morning and see if they will do his treatment and how much so hopefully they will pay don't know what to do if they wont we can't afford to pay for it and as Phil said he is not our cat so why should we.Anyway had a bit of on adventure with huim today I got up went out to feed him and picked him up to give him a cuddle (he's letting me do this now) and I found a big massive tick on him ooohhhhh it was horrible never seen one this big before and as Charley has never had any I knew what you had to do to them off as in make sure to get the head out but hadn't a clue how to do it.So I scooped him up and took him over the road to my friend she'll know what to do I thought he was sitting in my arms a little nerous but ok then her son opened the door and the poor cat absolutely crapped himselfclaws came out teeth came out I have a great big scratch mark well cut all down the one side of my neck the little blitter I couldn't hold on to him any longer so had to let him go and off he ran under a parked car. Well we had to do something so get some ham out the fridge she shouted to her son and then off we went to retrieve him tempting him out with the ham and it worked while I was coaxing him out she went in and got a towel and as I picked him up she wrapped the towel around him and waddled him in it we took him into the kitchen and it sounds really cruel but honest it wasn't she sorted of sat on him so he couldn't kick or scratch so I held his head down and pulled back his fur to show her the horrid beastie and she grabed some tweezers and pulled it right out eeekkkk it was massive anyhow we got rid of it and set about calming scruff down poor thing then we loosed him out and let him go off for a while then she saw my cut and started cleaning me up lol made us a drink and had a chat and we wondered if he would forgive us for being a bit rough with him but we needn't have worried I went home and there he was sitting under our car. Yes he was a bit weary about me going up to him at first but then he was fine still wont stay in the shed though ggggrrrrrhhhh

ReplyDeletenow as for the poor pussy cat. what an adventure for the poor thing. if you put vaseline around the tick it will then fall out all by itself. one of our cats a few years ago would go wandering in the woods and he would get them regular. so after 2 days of the vaseline it stops whatever supply the tick needs and it falls out or you can gently pull it out. ive had on in the back of my hand too from a hedgehog we use to have too. nasty litte beggers! anyway i hope its good news from the vets for him.
