Altered alice challenge

Yes I was entering the altered Alice challenge this weeks theme was hearts and as I am having a bit of a dark moment I thought I would enter plus they are being sponsored by Octopode and what have just got yep some great digi's from Octopode but just checked and it has just closed bbooo but thought I would show them anyway so anyway looking through my images at what to use so I used two and two separate cards for them so here they are
the first is using an image from octopde the new hatter

the papers are from granny enchanted and image is coloured with pro markers I wanted to give his suit an untidy scruffy look don't know if I got what I was aiming for but hey

and the next one is using an image of the queen f hearts herself again coloured with promarkers

papers again are from granny enchanted and the hearts are punched out of mirri and holographic card and paper

so there they are hope you like them I did enjoy making these too who knows I may have moved over to the dark side ....cackle cackle cackle

When I came across this site I was amazed with how much stuff was on there for absolutely no cost to any one so I spent an age going through finding stuff I new at some stage I would use then I found some of her "doodles" as she calls them way to cute so I had to use one and combine it with her papers too and this is what I came up with hope you like it and I will put the link up again at the end of this post

Image is coloured with Pro Marker as always and I matted the papers all from Cajolines blog some of them are matted digitally others manually

Gems are my hand made glue gems coloured with nail varnish (well I hadn't used them in a while)

and the roses are what my nan in law brought me back from New Zealand

Octopode fancy dress

I really had a blast making this card don't ask me why I just did I think it was a combo of the images mood and theme I only got the images yesterday and new right away what I wanted to do I brought 4 images Edward mad hatter new mad hatter and modern Alice now I love Johnny Depp even though most of his films are a bit on the weird side and I remember watching Edward Scissorhands years ago so I thought right fancy dress edward but not just him himself so I took his body and Alice's head and merged the 2 and this is what I came up with

I thought long and hard for a sentiment to put on this card but my brain didn't want to play and this was all I could come up with

so sorry for the lack of imagination

That is the theme for the challenge over at http://smudgyantics.blogspot.com and I thought I would give it a go for 2 reasons
reason 1 I love seeing these dark gothic skulls and such (it must be the punk and Ant person in me haha)
reason 2 been in a bit of a dark mood lately so thought it was appropriate and so are another couple of cards which I have to show you later
anyway I did have fun doing them and this one was no exception but of course I had to make it a little girly didn't I so here it is hope you like this change from me

Hi all hope you are keeping warm it's bitterly cold here today bbbrrrrrrr
Anyway I have a card for that will warm you up it's all made from that freebie site I gave the link for yesterday all the papers and the sweet adorable image all FREE now how good is that all I added was the bow lace gems and flowers which are coloured tissue paper (I didn't have the right colours so I used a couple of old ink pads don't use the good ones)

Thats the theme of the challenge over at http://www.dillybeanschallenge.blogspot.com/ so I thought I would have a go black and red are the two main colours I struggle with for colouring and blending so what did I do I used both HAHAHA well you know mw I don't do things by half do I in for a penny as they say anyway here is my card I am quite pleased with it could possibly use some more embellies on it somewhere but here you go

HiYA hope you all had a great week end I did nothing happened but Saturday I found this blog that gives free papers and digi kits yeah another well 2 infact more about them later but first.It's monday so that means another Critters challenge for you this time it's my teams turn and we have got a sketch to work with we are sponsored by stamp and Create and I have used one of their adorable images here is the sketch

and this is the card I came up with

Papers with ballet shoes are a freebie I got an age ago I think they are adorable and have used them a few times the other paper is from that freebie site I found last week granny Enchanted I do hope you have been over to have a look anyway
I inked the edges with shabby shutters to bring out the green in the check paper

Dusky pink and almond for skin
sandstone tan and caramel for hair
pastel pink and sun kissed pink for dress and shoes

this one shows the papers a bit better

and this is the bow with little ballet shoes embellishment

Poodle Parlour challenge one for mom's

Hi all how you doing it's freezing here and the weather sure doesn't know what to do one minute it's raining then sunny then hail but always cold very cold anyway over at http://thepoodlesparlour.blogspot.com/
our lovely Jacqui has set a new challenge for us and I was very naughty with this and forgot to send it to her so I am very very sorry Jacqui (she has it now though better late than never I designed a few cards for her challenges as I knew this was coming up this week so it was meant to be the first one I made but off I went into my own little word and it ended up being the last one I made oooopppppsss anyhooo here it is

I have used Jacqui's own image called "Courtney with flower" the papers are a freebie from http://www.jakheath.com called peonies I think they are so delicate and beautiful you may just see them again and again lol the flowers are made from tissue papers put through my cuttlebug

and the image is coloured with Pro Markers pale pink blossom pastel pink cocktail pink
Saffron canary and buttercup
ivory blush and dusky pink with sunkissed pink for cheeks

Sugar bowl sweetness

As you can guess from the title this one is for the sugar bowl challenge this weeks challenge is a great sketch and the theme of LOVE well it is in the air lol the sketch is beautiful but I did go a wee bit OTT with the embellishments lol but I am so pleased with it especially the image it is one I coloured in while we were doing Amy's room and I wanted to do some that I could scan and keep as I can do one the same as another and this one I just adore the colouring on it even if I do say so myself so I used the scanned image as I wanted to add a sentiment onto it

I inked a tag and then sprayed with water and dried it then added some fibres to the top I also used some gauze at the back of one of the sheets of paper I seen a few of you using it and love how it looks so thought I would try it out myself I inked it so it matched the colour scheme of the card

the sentiment I added said for you with love on mothers day

Sundae Bar open

I have used this adorable Elisabeth Bell image coloured with Pro Markers the papers are from Granny enchanted for link see earlier post the embellishments are from there as well

the flower I printed out 3 times each then cut into the petals and glued them onto each other then fluffed the up and added a faux pearl to middle

I have used 3 of the list I used blue I didstressed it a bit (didn't want to over do it) and pearls the layout is from the next challenge I am entering it into

Polka doodles want some lovin'

Hi All hope you are well and had a good weekend mine was brilliant had a designer day on Saturday and then crafted yesterday (after doing the ironing although to be fair there wasn't that much to do as I have kept on top of it still hate it though)and to top it off yesterday Alion beat the wolves hahaha. Anyway I have 3 cards for you today and all for challenges so will do 3 separate posts
The first one is for Polka doodles challenge and for this weeks they have provided us with a digi to use and this is what I came up with

Image is coloured with pro markers and I added the image to a backing paper before printing off then I printed it a couple more times so I could decoupage it

papers are from Granny enchanted again if you haven't been over there then I suggest you go there is loads to choose from and the quality is brilliant pop over here

you can see from this pic that I have decoupaged the heart and butterfly and then I added some glitter to the wings well we have to have a bit of sparkle don't we

the bow is from MCS and printed off twice then I cut out the bow itself and decoupaged that as well

A very cold saturday

Hi all hope you are all well and keeping very warm it is freezing outside so I am def staying indoors
I have a couple of cards for you today the first one is for Amy to send to Anton fopr valentines as most regular readers will know they have a Tatty Ted thing going between them so all cards have to have the adorable Ted on them so this is what I came up with

now the papers on this card are from an amazing site I found yesterday http://scrapbookalphabet.blogspot.com everything on there is gorgeous and FREE so do check it out and a big thank you to Granny enchanted for the papers and embellies the hearts are from there aswell and I just adjusted the colour and added some text to them

next up is a card I made for someone's birthday then realised I had already made them one so it will come in for someone else lol

image I have had for a while and can't remember where from papers are centura that have been scanned onto my computer the original ones are embossed but these are totally flat but I think they look quite good giving a faux embossed look

Hi All I hope you are all well and keeping warm it's freezing here bbbbbrrrrrrrr well not done much if any crafting since decorating must get back into the swing of things and get my juices flowing again seem to have dried up a bit I have a card I made a while ago for a challenge but decided not to do it but may as well show it the image and papers are a freebie from a magazine and are from hunky dory

so there it is a simple card and the flower is made from felt one of those I made in the large batch a while ago.
Well I am off to try and get inspired so hopefully some new creations coming soon

critter colour inspiration

Hello all hope you are all well I have finished with the decorating we wallpapered Amy's room on Saturday and it looks lovely I want my room back lol. It was Amy's first attempt at wallpaper hanging I don't think she has even held a piece of wallpaper before she normally stays well out of the way but due to my dizziness I was ordered not to go up any ladders so Amy had to do all the hanging from ceiling and matching up, we only wasted one piece of papers and that was the second piece we tried to put up she stuck it to the wall to soon and as she tried to pull it away she tore it so we got another piece and started again I had to do round the sockets though she wasn't to keen on doing that I was wandering whether I should after my experience just before Xmas I was waiting for the bang lol. So at least that room is finished now just have to put the curtain rail up but we brought the wrong size so have to change it duuuurrrrr

Anyway onto this weeks challenge at http://critterchallengeblog.blogspot.com it's team 2 turns (me) and we were given a beautiful pic to use as a colour inspiration

so this is what I came up with

Colur inspiration at Gills

Good morning all this is a pre scheduled post so hope it comes up on time I hope you are all well and looking forward to the weekend it is bitter cold here as I type this roll on summer and I am so glad I have a holiday to look forward to we are going to Spain to Spain in June as it's Phil's dad's 65 birthday adn they want us to go away with them. This will be the 4th time we have been away with them and we have a great time I am so glad I have fabby inlaws
Also just wanted to brag a bit you all now that just before Xmas I had a horrible eletric shock from the contol panel of the boiler well it's been 8 weeks since that and I haven't had a single cigarette since not one has been put to my mouth how good is that at least something positive came out of it so if anyone out there is struggling to quit the ciggies stick your finger in an electric socket lol it worked for me hahah any way on to this fmonths challenge over at http://creationsbygillm.blogspot.com she has split us DT members into 2 teams and this month is my teams turns Gill set us a colour challenge with a foto for inspiration

this is what I came up with

A very simple LO from a sketch but I think it works well with the colours image is a LOTV coloured with pro marker papers are from my stash and MCS

the turquoise paper is totally flat as you can see but I love who it gives the faux ribbon look to it

Hi All so sorry this post is late I totally forgot it was Thursday it has been one hell of a week in this house I can tell The next time Amy mentions moving I hope it's out of here all together and not just from room to room as I am sure it will be less hassle lol. She is now in the small room all done apart from the wallpaper and and accessories we haven't been abale to paper yet as there is no lighting in the bedroom as the bulb housing as shattered and the sparky has to come out and replace it then tonight the boiler packs up so no heating so we got them out to sort that and the circuit board has melted oh the joy of living in a s$%""*%%!!!! rented house what do we pay the rent for
moan over so it's Thursday so that means another challenge over at&

An update

Hi all hope you are well bedroom is coming along all painting done just have to put the boarder around the 3 painted walls and wall paper the other one carpet has to be taken up today as they are coming to lay the new one tomorrow so I have been quite busy and as I said haven't had a lot of time to do much but I have made some little bits of jewellery and been practicing my colouring so thought I would let you see how I have been getting on.
Before I show you my pic's if anyone has ANY tips at all about colouring BLACK hair please share with me I still can't get it right it looks awful when I do it please someone help
anyway here's what I have done

this one I used my new blue grey flexi markers as you can see I added some black to the ends but it looks to flat I think but I am really happy with rest of it
I think I prefer the next one though out of the 2 grey colourings

yes much happier with this one

I also had a go in browns quite like this to and one in blue

then I did some Sugar Nellie images

it's mainly hair I need practise with but also would love to master blender a bit more some of you out there are amazing with your pens

out of all the above Sugar Nellie though I think the bottom one is my favourite the colours go so well together

these are all made the same way and it's called daisy chain I think the brown one is my fav anyway off now to see what I can do hope you like my bits

Decorating

Hello all hope you are having a great weekend not done any crafting myself well last night did some colouring just playing with colours and so on as I didn't feel like making a card or anything and today I have been striping (the walls) in our bedroom Phil has been going on to Amy for ages and ages to give us her room (she had the biggest room out of the two when we moved in because she had so many toys we couldn't keep them all down stairs and wouldn't fit in the small room so we had it anyway she has now decided she wants it as she doesn't need as much space now but on the understanding that our room that she is moving into is redecorated and she wants new carpet and furniture so we said ok but wait til we come back from holiday (we are going the beginning of June so not to long to wait) but oh no it has to be done now so yesterday we were running around buying paint wall paper and ordering carpet and then finding some furniture she liked she did get a good deal on it though we went into home base and was quoted £250 near enough for a 3 door wardrobe bed sid table and a chest of draws but she would have to wait 4-6 weeks for delivery no Amy cabn't wait Amy has to have it NOW!!!!! so we went over to Argos to get the new catalogue we came home and had a look there was a 3 door wardrobe with bedside table and chest of draws nearly the same as what she had seen in Home base but there were 2 prices on it one said you could buy it £149 and then if read on it said you would the whole cabboodle for £110 so off she went and spoke to a manager he tried to wiggle out of it saying it couuldn't be done and rightly so she said well it is wriiten in black & white there so I want it for that price in the end he gave in and she had the 3 pieces for £110.
So today we have been stripping the bedroom ready for painting tomorrow the carpet is coming Thursady so we have to get it done by then but as I keep goong dizzy they won't let me up the ladders so I can only do as far as I can reach standing that is going to be fun when we try to wall paper it means Amy has to do it and she has never even tried before oh the joys to come anyway that is what I am up to I will try to come on in between but may not have many cards done for a few days unless they are DT cards so I will see you soon

Valentine blues

Hello again thought I would show you the two valentine cards I have made one is for Phil from me and the other is for his Dad from his Mom they are both the same but with different Kenny K images

images are coloured with PM's and papers are from Polka doodles cherish collection

I used some small scrap pieces of ribbon stapled together then added a button to each one threaded with some cross stitch thread sentiment was computer made hope you like them and I will see you soon

Elisabeth Bell cards

Hello all hope you are well just got back hospital had to have a scan on my womb again as my monthly's are playing up have done all my life and have so much done to try and stop them but to no avail during the scan the nurse I have a polyp which I am told is nothing to worry about so we just have to wait til the GP calls and see what is going to happen
I have some cards today but the two I am showing now are for the Elisabeth Bell DT call that is going on over at

http://digibellsdt.blogspot.com/ you have to use an Elisabeth Bell stamp (of course) and the closing date is tomorrow so I am just in time fingers crossed.
I love her designs and who couldn't they are gorgeous my favourite as I am sure most of you know is Daisy I adore her so of course I had to use her didn't I but then I decided on hobby horse for another one so did them both
Papers are a selection of MCS ones the doily is coloured with TH victoirian velvet ink and the image is colored with PM's warm greys for jeans and pinks for top I mainly used the blender pen to colour the jeans and top in skin is dusky pink blush ivory hair saffron pastel yellow and buttercup

the gems are my famous glue dot gems coloured with silver nail varnish

papers are from MCS tattered lace the tag I did with TH distress inks then spritz'd with water then lemon juice and dried with heat gun added a part of a doily to the top with a hand made rose from ribbon again the gems are from my glue gem s

image is coloured with PM's sunkissed pink dusky pink and alamond for skin oatmeal coral and spice for hair cocktail pink pale pink hot pink for clothes cocoa and caramel for boots sandstone and tan for hobby horse with cocoa for reigns

the rose I made from some ribbon from my stash but the leaf I brought from a cake shop

image is cut out using an X cut die I do hope you like them

Hello all hope you are well the weather here is wet and grey I hope it's better where ever you are
I was asked by my FiL to make a card for for my MiL for valentines now normally he is happy with what ever I make but this year he asked me for something a bit different so you can imagine my horror do I do a weird folded card or what anyway I was blog hopping and popped over to a blog called http://jules-alwayswithaheart.blogspot.com I have been a follower of Jules for a while now and she makes some stunning cards as you all do but this just hit me you know that light bulb thing I thought it was a very romantic looking card and thought that is it so Jules I pinched your idea and full credit for this goes to you I have done things a bit differently like added more threads to the ribbon and pins in the bow to see the original please go here
I really hope you don't mind me using your idea Jules anyway I better show you the card hadn't I

Paper and card is from stash stitching is done with white gel pen

sentiment printed on computer and matted onto black card and red mirri card

lace was added to the card then I put red and black ribbon over the lace and made a bow then used some cord in gold black and red and tied the bow separately and then added the gold heart embellishment with a couple of jump rings to this bow I then added the pins 2 gold and a black one which was actually white earl and I painted it black with nail varnish

the gems where also white pearls but I changed those to with nail varnish

OMG I am so chuffed you know my card I did for the pola doodles shades of grey well it only won first prize yayyyyyyyyyyy I couldn't believe it when I just went over to see what the new challenge is and there it was me first place now do you think I should do the lotto tomorrow (rubs hands in glee) any way for those who haven't seen the card the link is here

so onto this card I am posting it is for a challenge over at http://fabnfunkychallenges.blogspot.com/ and the theme is bingo they give you a list of things to use and you pick a line and use what it on that line so for mine I went with A digi 2 papers and handmade embellishments

Image is an LOTV stamp coloured with PM's papers are from polka doodles and Debbi Moore gems my habd made glue gems coloured with pink and black nail polish and the flower is pink and black tissue paper put through cuttle bug will circle dies then layered together and a brad in the centre oh and I made some of the pins to in the flower the treble pin was white pearl but I change it using the same nail varnish as I used on the glue gems hope you like it

Hello all hope you had a fabby weekend I got quite a few cards designed yesterday and put some together last night so I thought I would show them I am going to put one in a seperate post though as it is for a challenge
the first one I have made for Phil's mom & dad from us for their anniversary and I am so happy the way it turned out the colouring everything

the papers are from Nitwits and I inked the edges with TH distress inks victorian velvet broken china and scattered straw

the image is a free download from practical publishing C&C Taking the colour to the blender pen I love this way of colouring
Colours used dusky pink ivory blush mustard saffron buttercup caramel cinnamon tan warm great 3 and 4 pastel pink and cocktail pink almond cool aqua

I have used my glue dot gems coloured with nail varnish again I made some more yesterday hehe

the next one is another art deco one

papers are from MCS tattered lace glue dot gems coloured with nail varnish and bow is made from seam binding coloured with TH distress ink victorian velvet

Yep thats the weather here at the mo it looks as though it is going to pee down any time now so glad I am in doors today and soon to be crafting again I didn't do any yesterday (shock horror) have some things to do today though but first I thought I would these cards on I tried to get them on yesterday but the batteries in my camera kept dying in me aaarrrggggghhhhh so here they are

this is using one of the images my FiL gave me and papers are from red hot bed and my stash the flower is made from red tissue paper and red metalic crepe papers put through my cuttle bug with circle dies then layered up I put a brad through the centre and glittered the heard

next up is steam punk card I made from Kanban topper sheet and paper

The paper at the back is from Kanban and I inked it with frayed burlap the other papers are from stash and mat that the topper is on I made TH distress inks walnut, tea and there was another one but can't remember at mo then I sprinkled watered on and mopped it up then sprayed lemon juice and dried it with heat gun it gives a lovely sent as it's drying the cogs I coloured with a gold metallic pen and then went over with walnut ink and the clock digi's I went over with a mahogany ink

so there you have them right I am off to start crafting now so see you later

Poodle parlour challenge

This is what I came up with

Image is a precious moments one and I do like these they are so lovely to colour I used PM's to colour mine
papers are from my stash and I added red gem hearts to the corners of 6x6 card and inked the edges with TH worn lipstick

still trying to get this black hair under wraps but it doesn't work for me as you can tell so just pretend he has been nagged for a very long time lol and gone very grey haha

A day to reflect

Hello all hope you had a great weekend I managed to get the ironing done til this lot of washing needs doing then I will have it all to again bbllllllaaarrrrrrr
Any way today is rather a sad day for me as it is the anniversary of my my dad's death I can't believe it's been 15 years this year I still expect to see him when I walk into my mom's house either pottering around the shed or garden or doing something or other I still get that sinking feeling when I realise he isn't there.Yes as you can probably gather I was a daddy's girl I loved the bones of him oh we had our moments as all parent children do but for 99.9% of the time he was the best dad you could wish for and a big softy too,So thinking about him today quite a bit

Papers are from MCS cd faith hope and charity told you I was in love with these papers they are just so versatile and useful (I know they mean the same lol) the image is raggedy girl from whimsy stamps I love her she is great to colour the frame is from same cd as papers

image is coloured with PM's pastel pink and cocktail pink for dress tan and satin for under dress and tights and caramel tan and walnut for hair skin was coloured with almond satin and dusky pink

Flower is one of those felt ones I made in that batch they come in very handy

and cocoa his hat is the reds I used for bow and skin is ivory dusky pink and blush

flowers I made from same papers as on card just cut out and layers with a spiral rose in the centre again I added my glue gems to the middle of the flowers they come in very handy and are very inexpensive

Just Magnolia challenge

Me again this time with a card for the http://justmagnolia.blogspot.com/ challenge which is a sketch I love working with sketches as they give your cards a different layouts I do know some people struggle with them though anyhow the sketch is a sweet one and pretty simple

and here is my card

the only thing I have done to it is added some of my glue gems coloured with nail varnish (it's great using these and colouring them this way you have the right colour every time Pro markers work as well but are more opaque and added a bow

She is coloured with pastel pink, cocktail pink,satin ,tan for clothes

buttercup canary and mustard for hair and for skin ivory blush and dusky pink with a pale pink for cheeks

so there she is hope you like her

Hello I do hope you are enjoying your Sunday I am off to do a pile of ironing in a bit but thought I would do a couple of posts before I climbed mount iron me
So on with the first I decided to treat myself with some of the money I was given for Xmas and I got the new Sugar Nellie digi stamps I really adore these images and it is impossible to pick a favourite so I won't lol I think I brought 7 in total so the hardest decision was which one to use first I settle with Victoria she is adorable I just love her expression and the way she is standing

I am entering this into the sugar bowl challenge and Charisma cards challenge links will follow below
the sugar bowl challenge this week is a sketch

I have added a bow to my card as when it was made up it looked a bit plain and I thought it needed something else to balance it out

it is made from seam binding and coloured with T H distress ink frayed burlap the pearls are again some of my glue gems coloured with nail varnish

Image is coloured with my ever trusting PM's in shades of pink and light browns (can't remember which ones exactly sorry
I did use warm grey 1 and cool grey 2 for the hat though and dusky pink blush and ivory for skin
I think this is one of my favourite card I have made this year so far I love the way it has turned out.

An Anniversary dance

Back again this time with an anniversary card it's my In laws wedding anniversary in a couple of weeks so they have asked me to make their cards to send to each other so this is the one I have done for my FiL to send
It's using another of the wedding images that I used on the blue wedding card this time I have gone for more colour so coloured her in fully
Papers are from Bearly mine and nitwits the flowers are from stash I coloured with TH distress inks and then made the centres from the same papers as on the card

Shades of grey

Now on to my next card I was having a nose round earlier in the week and came across Nikky Halls blog and has done a lovely card using a sketch she had made for the polka doodles challenge the only thing was she said she forgot the theme to her challenge was shades of grey and she had made hers with all different colours lol I think most of us have done that at some time so anyway off I trotted to the challenge to have look and decided to give it a go I have only ever done a card like this once before and that was a while ago you can see it here so I thought I would have another go at it and this is what I came up with

Papers are a mix from MCS and my stash the lace is onone of my MCS cds and is just printed onto them top of the paper the image is a Sarah Kay digi now I know the theme was shades of grey but as I had used grey and silver in the papers aswll I thought for her hair and skin I would use normal colours just to lift it slightly and I think it worked I did try the blending trick with this image on the jeans but to be honest I think I used the wrong card and it didn't blend very well so went over it with the pens themselves I then put it through my cuttle bug and went over the edges with a make up sponge dipped in TH distress in soot black and the gems are some of the glue dots I made the other week just coloured with silver nail varnish I hope you like it I'm pleased with it must remember to use the right card in future though lol anyway it is being entered into the following challenge

vintage Daisy

This card I have made for 2 challenges the first one I came across yesterday I was reading a post one of you had put up Jo of http://whimsicalwhisperdesigns.blogspot.com/ mentioned a challenge blog called http://elphinehouse.blogspot.com so I popped over to have a look and of course became a follower and thought I would enter the challenge it is an Elizabeth Bell challenge blog so I new what stamp to use my all time fav Daisy then I went off to http://sweetstopsketches.blogspot.com/ and saw their sketch for this week and so I combined the 2 and this is what I came up with

Daisy is coloured with PM's and I used a tip I got from Nikky Hall at http://polkadoodlesandme.blogspot.com when she was on Create and craft the weekend about using your blender pen to get more shades out of your PM's you take your PM colour to your blender the use your blender to closo I thought I would ur in the more you use it the lighter it gets and you don't ruin your blender either now I had seen this done on some other pens where they transferred colour from one pen to another but I had not seen it done with a PM blender before so I thought I would give it a go and am quite pleased with the results on this imge I also tried it on the polka doodle card I made (coming next) but wasn't so keen on the result more about that later

I used the blender on her jeans and top only the hair and skin is done in my normal way papers are from my stash and this is the sketch I followed

I made 1 mistake though and didn't realise til it was all finished I forgot to slant my centre piece oh dear well there it is hope you like it

Nitwits comp card

In this issue of simply cards there is a competition for some nitwit goodies now I never win any of these sort of comps but thought hey what the heck why not so I got out my nitwit pieces and this is what I came up with

everything I have used is from a complete card making cd I just took k it all into MCS and got the frame then got 2 of the bears and put them together added a drop shadow and the word with as if you look the lady bear has the word love in her paws I printed off the papers I wanted then I printed them off again this time using one paper colour per side so I ended up with 2 double sided papers I used these to make to the flowers

I just went round the edges with a sakura star dust pen to add a bit of sparkle

Well it is being sent off today so fingers crossed
don't go to far I have some other cards but want to do them on separate posts as they are for challenges

Jewellery

Hi all hope you are having a good week I am glad to say the car passed it's MOT that was a shock and a blessing phew!!!!
anyway as I said the other day I have been trying my hand at making some jewellery I did some a while ago but they were just basic things this time I tried more "grown up" items so to speak any how I know they are no where near as good as some of you out there but not bad I don't think for a first attempt here they are

first is a necklace and bracelet set I made using seed beads and black and clear glass beads with some black nuggets

here is a closer pic

this one is brown glass beads then I attatched some seed beads to it so it looks like you have two bracelets on

this one is using the same sort of beads as the one above but I also used some wooden beads then I weaved them through the main bracelet as I went along I quite like this one and am pleased with the way it looks

to be honest I have posted these pictures back to front as the black necklace and bracelet was the last piece I made this one was the second piece and I made 2 the clasp is magnetic and very strong I like the look of this to

this is the first piece I made I went for an easy stretch pearl bracelet to ease me into it

Good morning peeps hope you all had a wonderful weekend I got quite a bit of crafting done but boy has my ironing piled up so the car has got to go in for it's m.o.t tomorrow so I shall do it then blarrrrrrr
anyway I have got a few DT cards done and I put my hand at making some jewellery too just some stretchy bracelets but I quite like them I will show pics later but first I have a card I made it last month for a couple getting married and also for the challenge this month over at glitter fairy challenge but Becky hasn't put the challenge up and I can't get hold of her hope she is alright. So I put my computer on this morning and saw that Stephanie Emma has set a challenge over at http://craftybootschallenges.blogspot.com/ which is new beginnings so I thought I would enter this card into it

the image is a freebie download from a magazinecolured very slightly with PM's and the papers are also free from http://bmd-creations.blogspot.com (bearly mine) the cabbage roses are made from seam binding coloured with T H distress inks

the greeting was made in MCS oh and I used Sakura pen for a bit of sparkle on the flower confetti

the pin was from the embellishment pack I got from C&C I just coloured the pearls in shades of blue to match the colour scheme and the sprays are from stash (had for ages) so there you have i hope you like it and thanks for popping by. Gill's decoupage challenge

Well hello and welcome back to Gill's challenges she has decided to have play around this year and has gone for a monthly challenge rather than a fortnightly one so you have even longer to get your projects in she has also split the DT up in to groups so we can spread out a bit more
and as I am team 1 I I am in the first challenge now this is a challenge close to my heart as I when I start card making decoupage is what I started doing and I really enjoy itm although don't do it as much now a days any how that is the theme for this months challenge decoupage and here is my card

papers are from centura and the gems are glue dots I made from a glue gun coloured with promarker the sentiment is from red hot bed I have had for a while (and I mean a while) and thought I ought to use them rather than have them gathering dust the image is from a disc I had when I first started card making and I love the image

I have gone for an oriental theme again I think I'm going through a phase lol and again I have used the Chinese writing

used the same papers as in the previous oriental card but used a different sketch for L O

the wording says with love friend (well I hope that is what it says)

the flourish is from the embellishment pack I brought from C&C and I inked it with versa mark and covered with Debbi Moore mental magic black

added some lace along the bottom of the black paper and there you have it as I said I need to put an insert in with a verse but I an quite pleased with it just hope she likes it

Birthday cards

Hello all hope you are well well everything is definitely back to normal now same old same old I guess most of you are back to work now.
Well I had another crafty night last night got some more DT cards done and also a birthday card for a friend who's birthday is next week I just have to find a nice verse to go inside but at least the card is done I will show it later as I haven't took a pic yet but I do have some other birthday cards to show you made for a relative who's birthday is at the end of the month so here they are

well as you all know we took on scruff in june and had so much trouble trying to get him the help he needed but after he finally got it he settled down really well he is now very much a part of our family he even sleeps with us some nights just comes and jumps on the bed and curls up he gets on brilliantly with jasper they lie next to each other a lot of the time and are always nose to nose Charley how ever is a different matter one minute she is fine with him and will go nose to nose then the next she is hissing and growling at him last night how ever Scruff jumped on the sofa Charley was already asleep on there and he lay down right next to her and lay there for hours now today he only looked at her and she growled at him funny old woman poor Scruff doesn't know what to do bless him he really tries to be her friend but I don't think it will ever happen anyway here are some pics we took new years eve

please excuse the crafty mess I couldn't be bothered to pack every thing away so just put some of it on the floor

as you can see in this one they are looking at each other and nothing she did nothing so what is going on with her

she isn't a well cat and is all skin and bone now but she isn't in any pain and is eating so we don't want to take her to the vet just in case we don't bring her back it may sound selfish but when she goes off her food or seems the slightest bit in pain she will go but she's not doing bad for an 80 year old lol

here is one of Jasper we couldn't leave him out but you would not believe how long it took us to get this pic and he was grizzling all the time we were trying to take a picture of him

and here is the little man himself as you can tell I have fallen madly in love with him he is an adorable cat so playful and very very cheeky

so this is him now what a journey he has had I really wish I knew his past and can't believe how quickly he settled with us considering he wouldn't let us near him to start with and I am sure he was on his way to becoming a feral cat

Hello well another day and something else had to wrong this time my usb for my internet decides to die on me so all day I have been trying to sort it out to no avail and have have to go out and buy a new one honestly what next (wish I hadn't asked that now) anyway better lte than never got a few more DT cards done last night and one to show you now it's another sugar nellie as I haven't used them in a while I thought I would blow the cob webs from them and show them some day light

I printed the papers and had just change the cartridges in my printer the colour should have been blue but turned out purple and I couldn't be bothered to re print so went with it image is coloured with pm's colours used are

Well have all recovered from Christmas didn't it go quickly all that build up just for a few hours boy am I getting old I wish I still felt the magic of Christmas like we did when we were kids and it seemed to last ages to well I ain't peter pan sothat ain't gonna happen anyway did some cards yesterday and boxing day some are DT cards so can't show you those yet but I can show some of the ones I made and here they are

It really felt funny not doing any Christmas cards lol but what a relief to I have used a sugar nellie image I have to get the others too so I know what some of my money I had for Christmas is going on can't wait
so for this card I coloured image with PM's (some of my PM's have run out aaaggghhhhhhh) papers are from MCS papercraft library faith hope and charity I really like these papers as they go with most things and I use them regular

colours used are Dusky pink, blush,ivory, saffron,buttercup, canary,satin, sandstone,tan caramel pastel pink rose pink

Hiya hope you are all well and ready for the weekend my turkey is defrosting so I can cook it tomorrow I have always cooked my turkey on Christmas eve. We went shopping last night and I went into a different super market we tried Morrisons it's only a small one but it was busier so that's another thing under my belt I have done

well I hope not after everything that has happened last week let alone the last 12 months what else could possibly go wrong nothing I thought oh well I was wrong now my printer has packed up I think this is the 2nd or 3rd one this year I must work them to hard so now I have to get a new one oh Bugger well at least it's something that is easy to sort out
Posting my cards yesterday I forgot to post a couple so here they are
the first one is for a lady I have got to know quite well over the last year and although we have never met I would class her as a very good friend we email each other as well as sending messages on our blogs anyway this is the card

flowers are from MCS click print go and the sentiment is a freebie from createwithtlc-
papers are from stash so is ribbon

the next one I have done for my FiL to give to my Mil

image and papers are from the folies disc I used some back coat coated card ran it through the cuttle bug then sanded it back to show the white underneath I then went over this with a versa mark brush and covered with pink embossing powder then heated

added some ribbon and a bow and done so I hope you like them don't know when I will have any more to show I do have a couple to make that I printed before the printer went to the little printing room in the sky so will post those I better be able to get new one quick not good lol

A polka doodle life saver

Last night while going through the cards I had to finish off I was ASKED by his Lordship if I had made cards for lovely ladies at the PO damn knew there was some I had to make, so need 3 cards and quick so I got out my Polka doodles christmas boutique mag out for some inspiration regulars will know I have used the papers quite a lot making my cards this year they are beautiful and would you believe it 3 cards just called out to me so here they are

the topper is taken from the freebie pack of this mag as well then I put a piece of card through the cuttle bug and matted the topper to it then on the paper you just find a large snow flake and glitter it add ribbon to the opposite corner and I added a large snow flake with a smaller one on top then added a blue flat back gem added all this to a cream DL card and 1 down 2 to go

so on to number 2
I think this is my favourite out of the 3 and although there looks a lot going on in it it was really quick to do

I used a piece of nitwits paper for the background on this one then took some og the snow man papers and cut out 3 pieces making sure each one had a snowman on matted onto gold mirri then gut 3 smaller gold mirri pieces and this time added ribbon and buttons to then stuck them all to the card and done

and finally this one was very quick just printed of the topper I needed as I wanted it smaller than the original then I matted it to a piece of light brown card and added some faux stitches, a piece of the brown paper with a small piece of the pink polka paper

added a ribbon and bow before sticking to card then added flower made from MCS click print go paper flowers expert

Hi Every one and a BIG hello to all my new followers I actually have some cards for you today, feeling a lot better although voice is still a bit gruff.
How is the weather your way we have had no snow yet well Amy said she saw a bit this morning about 6am (don't do that time especially on a sunday lol)
so I will get on with the cards as there are a few to show

first up is the card Amy asked me to make for Anton as you may know from previous posts they have this Tatty Ted thing going she always wants a TT on the card papers are from Nitwits and I used blue mirri for the other one ran it through cuttle bug and sanded back the top layer over the dots to reveal the underneath

Glittered the topper well it is Christmas!!

This is one I have done for her to send to her Nan Granddad image and paper are from MCS crystal sparkles the central piece is made by taking a coloured shape(rectangle) and then went into the NSR (NO STAMP REQUIRED) section and found a couple of digi stamps snowflakes copied and paste a few time and placed the randomly round the page I knew ther was no point putting any in the centre as the image was going there

Now for this one I didn't have the right shade of purple I wanted in my ribbon (typical all the colours you could wish for but not the one you want) so out came the white satin ribbon and the pro markers the snow flakes where cover silver but I covered them in glue and dipped in glitter

Oh my goodness I do nt want to go through that again what a week today is the first day I have actually been able to sit a my computer without my head feeling like it is going to explode
basically since Saturday I have had to keep going to bed can't eat (just starting to hold things down in the last 24 hrs) can't drink tea and coffee taste yuk and I love my coffee and as for the cigarettes still no craving to have one so I have been 5 days without one been back to Doctors this morning though as the injections I had haven't work half a well as the last lot and she also told me I have a bit of a chest infection again brought on through this shock they reckon it has brought my immune system down very low so anything I was fighting and my meds were fighting off as some how found there way through
The migraine has gone now and I do feel a lot better just very tired but all seemed to have done over the past few days is sleep so I think I will take it easy for another day or two and hopefully will have all cylinders ready for the week ahead still have loads to do and presents to buy (yes I still ain't done that yet) well thank you for all your kind words it really made me feel better and I will see you with a few cards later

Just wanted to say a quick thank you to you all for you kind words the tingling has faded to just into my fingers now but I still have a very bad head and keep being sick the one good thing to come of it I haven't touched a cigarette since it happened (can't stand the taste now) but then at the mo I can't taste much of anything since this happened so that's one good thing I have been trying to give up for ages.

what a shock

And I mean a shock Saturday I cleaning the kitchen as you do and I had nearly finished and thought I would put the heating on for a while as it had gotten chilly in the house hands dry I put my finger on the button and BANG a shock ran straight up my arm and round down the other one now I don't know if it was the force of the shock or instinct but jumped backwards the control panel sparked crackled and went bang and tripped all the eletric in the house I felt perfect apaert from a tingle in my arms and hands then a couple of hours later is artated to burn yet was freezing I had a head ache which felt a though my head as been used a football had a restless night saturday night and got up yesterday feeling much the same Phil got on the NHS website and they came up with some questions he answered them and it told him I should either go to A&E or see a Dr asap so he phoned the NHS primary care and someone called back and they told us I should get down to A&E sharpish they did a ECG on me a water test and took some blood I got home at 8 last night I still feel very rough and keep going hot and cold the Doctor told me it would take a few days to settle he also asked what sort of floor I was standing on and if I had anything on my feet I told him it was like a lino flooring and I was bare foot he said if it had been any other flooring I would have possibly been killed so I has an electrifying week end ha ha so that is why I haven't been around but I am ok now well on the mend

Image is coloured with PM's and papers are from MCS winter whimsies the snow well that's a weird one I was in my local little craft shop looking for some embossing powder and I found this stuff called ornamental snow tex I had no idea what it was but though I could probably use it so I brought a jar got it home and opened it and it's the strangest stuff I have ever seen it's like a thick paste with lumps in anyway I tired it on a scrap of card and after a little play found if I added a little pva glue it was more manageable so I put some on this card just to give it some texture

Hi All another cold day today by the feel of things it's white over here this morning (thankfully not the fluffy stuff) just very icy.
Now I will have some cards for you later on but first as it's the 2nd Saturday in December (already aaggggghhhhhhhhhhh) it's time for another challenge over at http://creationsbygillm.blogspot.com yes peeps the theme is Christmas but want to see your traditional christmas colours red & green I made my card way back in sept I think before the Christmas bug bit and so glad I did I really am getting sick of making them I make 1 and another 3 appear from somewhere that need to be made oh well keeps me quite as Phil will say lol here it is hope you like it

so a really easy card to make the papers where originally a freebie from a mag but I needed a biger size for another card so I copied it and made it larger then when Gill was doing the scrap challenge I did put it forward for that but I hadn't taken any pics of the before scraps so I thought use it for this challenge so I did I cut out a C from an embellish pack I had again some of it had been used then I went onto MCS and printed the histmas off the buttons are actually 2 earings I just took the stud off the back and I added a bow from a scrap of ribbon I had

but Sarah saw my other card and said to put in the challenge too so I did (now I will have 2 chances of winning haha ) anyway this is one of the first digi's I brought I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it and used it a few times last year but mainly made it with blues and so I decided to go for a more girly colour and did reds and pinks and

papers are mix of nitwits (told you I like using them) and polka doodles (another I am liking at the mo)

Image is coloured with PM's and I inked the edges with tattered rose TH distress ink I also inked the papers in the same and barn door well I am off now for some food (don't know what yet) the off to make some more will be so glad when they are all done I am just glad Christmas only comes once a year I wouldn't cope lol

Hello again thought I would post the cards I have made over the last 2 nights now bones have defrosted OMG it was so cold up Bushbury Crem today thankfully my uncle was cremated so we didn't have to go and have another service at the grave it was a small service but nice for what it was (if you get what I mean).Seeing my family there only re enforced why I don't have anything to do with them what's the saying you can pick your friends but not family I wouldn't pick any of them. pompous pretentious full of their own importance (yeah right) anyway it was just as I expected so nothing new there on with the cards
the first is a card I have made to send to spain (wish I was hand delivering it)it is for a friend of Phil's

I love the layout of this sketch and have used it a few times
the edges of the per have been inked with TH distress inks tattered rose broken chins and tumbled glass (part of my purchase from nec) then I added some flat backed pearls to the corners hope you like it

Papers used here are from paper cellar I have had for a while and love using them the sketch I followed is this

I really like the colours of this santa it makes a change from red lol

I have made this one for a friend who likes fairies hope she likes the card too

and of course I went OTT with the glitter will you can't have a fairy Christmas card and no glitter can you!!!! the snow flakes were originally silver in colour so I change them by adding glue from a pen then dipping them in even more Glitter hehe my house is soooooooo sparkly and so is the dog and the cats well if they stay still long enough they get a dusting of it

This is one I am sending to Anton's Nan I wanted something simple but classy I think I captured that style I used MCS deco follies for paper and topper

and no Glitter!!!! I just added a few red flat back gems to it well that's me for today will see you all tomorrow with another challenge from Paper crafting journey and hopefully the last of my Christmas makes too

Distressing Christmas

Made this card a while ago for a dt card that was asked to be made but the challenge has been put off til after new year so thought I would share the card with you it was a joy to make I distressed the papers using TH inks and white acrylic paints and roughing the edges with a craft knife and sanding block the image was coloured with PM's and run through cuttle bug then I coated it 3 times with versa mark and clear embossing powder then after I had done the last lot of embossing I put the image in the freezer for a couple of minutes the shock of the cold on the still warm paper makes it bends so as the embossing hardens it does so in a curled manner so when you fetch it out and flatten it it cracks given the broken effect then I went over the whole image with TH walnut stain ink and buffed it up with a paper towel you add more if not happy with the amount which is what I did on this

Cut it out!!!!!that's the theme over at http://papermakeupstamps.blogspot.com/ I only found the blog last week thanks to Sandra and I popped back yesterday and their new challenge is under way so I thought I have just the card waiting to be made and it was using their challenge sketch aswell (I had already printed it out but not put it together so here it is the papers are from stash the brown bear papers I think are from Crafts u print but not sure had them a while the red mirri was put through cuttle bug and the pearls were white but I coloured them with PM's (forest green and then while still a little wet covered with cosmic shimmer and I really like how they turned out the image is coloured with PM's to I used tan cinnamon and burnt sienna for bear forest and apple green for elf clothes and poppy crimson and cardinal red also hope you lkie it have some in a while

Just a quick post to thank everyone for their comments on Amy drunken night she is fine felt a bit dodgy saturday but then she went out to shop with Anton (boyfriend) and the freah air did her the world of good she remembered bits about the night before but not after getting home so when I told her how she had been she was mortified she kept saying she couldn't understand why she had done it but like I said to her we all need to let our hair down and go wild every now and then and if I remember rightly I did my fair share when I was 19 believe me even when I was older than that. I remember the first year I left home it was new year and we went out to celebrate I went from one of the optics to the other and back again and boy did I know about it can't remember getting home although I know we walked the next day I was so bad but Phil just me and went to watch footie I know exactly were I stand lol I also remember a time we went out and I was drinking brandy walking home Phil had a go at me as I wasn't walking straight so I went into the road and sat down why you tell me I just remember doing it but not for any reason lol so she went to work yesterday and yes there was a bit of banter about it but they all said she should it more often as she is so funny when she is drunk. It was nice to know she had had a good time.

Hi all hope you are well and getting ready for the festive season me I am well behind even more so than normal usually I get the tree up the first weekend of December and I still haven't got it down from the loft yet(well Phil hasn't) he claims there is so much other stuff in front of it it's an obstacle course up there any excuse but it will have to go sometime this week apart from the presents that had to go to New Zealand I haven't brought any yet bad I know.I would love just one year to be ahead of the game and things well under way well before December.
Well Saturday and Sunday were spent designing cards as I haven't done ours for close family and friends yet to busy doing the others so last night I managed to get 4 done again if something could go wrong it did I think my mind is on other things but I got there in the end so here they are as stated in the title there are 2 that have adult humour in them but I will leave those til last so if you don't want to see them just don't scroll downd past the first 2 but I think they are funny

this first one is for my dear friend Corrinne I have neglected her lately but she usually works longer hours this time of year so but I will make it up to her

tipsy more like wasted

Hi Hope you are all well this bright but very cold saturday me I am shattered I was up all with Amy. She went out to her works Xmas dinner and drinks last night now she is nearly 20 and has never I repeat NEVER
Gotten drunk before a little tipsy yes but last night OMG she was wasted it was so funny she was very theatrical and very loud but so so funny she babbled on about her night out and said her feet were hurting (she had wore very high heels) and Phil asked her if she had two of them (feet) she through her legs in the air and squealed no I have four then feel about in hysterics she said to me "are you my mom" Isaid yes she then said "you're very pretty" that's how drunk she was I tried to get her undressed and into bed that was a task in itself I couldn't stop laughing at the things she was coming out with and the way she was throwing her arms around in these grand gestures anyway I managed to get her in her PJ's and then I took off her glasses she took one large gasp and said I can't see I'm blind and she was going on about all the pretty colours how lovely they were but they hurt her head. I finally got her to get into bed and that was it she spent most of the night with her head over the loo feeling very sorry for herself so I spent most of the night with her as it was the first time she had done anything like this I didn't know how she was going to react to the drink so wanted to keep an eye on her.She's fine now apart from a thick head and an unsettled tummy and the vow she will never do it again I think we have all said that one.
Anyway I have a couple of cards for you I had to get the done pretty quick as I had forgot I hadn't made them and they needed to be done for today as Phil's nan travels to New Zealand on Thursday and they are for her and her daughter who lives there I was to busy making sure I had done all their cards I had forgot to do my own lol

I don't know how it's happened but I am way behind with cards for everything even DT card so I have had a splurge I am so sorry to those I have let down by not having my cards done but sometimes life has a nasty way of sneaking up on you and getting in the way of crafting (how dare it) I do however have a card for you today and I am entering it into a challenge can't remember the last time I did that I saw the sketch yesterday and thought I know what I can do with this I have a digi I have been meaning to use so I did just that I also used it for another card but can't show that till friday (sorry)

Image is from Digital delights skiing snowman I think he is adorable I coloured him with my trusty PM's and papers are from MCS papercraft library faith hope & charity

I used a blue pearl and cool grey 1 for the snow man and used a blender to blend (of course) and I used a silver pen for skis with a warmer grey to shade them
I am really pleased with how the snow man turned out as I don't enjoy colouring white things if you get me I never seem to get the shading right but I think this is one of my better ones anyway I am entering this into http://papertakeweekly.blogspot.com/ which is a sketch I hope you like it

Just had the phone call

Just had the phone call from mom to let me know my uncle Stan passed away at 3;45 this afternoon
at least he was at home and not alone and he is no longer in pain it is sad for all of us but I feel a difference sense of loss as he was my dad's brother and was the only one left all the other family members have gone so he was like a link to my dad if you know what I mean now I have top make one of those cards we all hate making a sympathy card

Some sad news

Hi all hope you are well and enjoying the weekend I spent the afternoon down mom's yesterday she gave me some news I have been expecting for a time but it still came as a shock do you remember a while ago I told you of my Uncle who had to his ear taken off through cancer well he has been getting worse since his treatment finished and started to these lumps all over his body which started to change colour and stuff she has been saying for a while that the cancer had spread but wouldn't say to where my mom was getting rather angry with her but I said it may be the fact that if she tells someone then it's real where as if she doesn't say it doesn't seem so bad do you understand what I mean well he took a turn for the worse on Monday and she had to have the DR in and told her that my uncle doesn't have long with us she then Phoned my mom who is her sister (my uncle is my dad's brother) yeah two members of the same family married lol anyway she then told Mom how bad it really was the cancer is in his lungs and other organs now so we are just waiting for the phone call.
Anyway on a brighter note Mom has brought me a few of the things on this weeks POTW ON C&C the main embellishment pack the laser pack and stamp pack they had sold out of the embossing powders how dare they oh well never mind so I can't wait for that to turn up it looks amazing anyway I will leave you with a card I should have put up earlier in the week but with everything going on I completely forgot

I hve used the deco follies cd for this card used one of the backgrounds then got one of the lovely ladies to go on it

this is one I did for carol to send to Amy Papers are from stash and so is image

this one I done for her to send to her mom & dad again I used the deco follies disc and used one of the backgrounds and then made a couple to go onto that the flowers are made from the click print go disc christmas flowers

And finally this what I made for to send to Rob(her hubby) I have this image on one of the other cards the main paper is originally white flourishes but I went over them with a glue pen and added glitter

there you go that's my lot for now have a great day

I said yesterday I would put the other cards on I have made and as I was at the hospital all afternoon I didn't get chance so I will so it now.
The hospital visit was informative the balance therapist has confirmed what me and Phil thought that my depression could be playing a major part in my black out episodes although she said that it also looks like some signals are delayed getting from me ears to my brain although the balance part of the is working ok and then she gave me some more exercises to do.Then it was over to the noise therapist and he asked some more questions I told him that we had started going shopping again all be it to Lidl and mid week he thought that was brilliant and I also told him I went to the NEC which he was amazed at but he did point out something that I need to address pretty quickly if I want to go forward and that is my stress and I need to do relaxation to help me as I told him I get very edgy when I go anywhere as I know it is going to hurt so he has told me to do some relaxation and that he could see the stress in me as I was hunched up so that is where I am at the mo
Now cards

This is one I made for Carol to give to one of her friends I used MCS winter whismys disc

this is for Carol's Auntie and uncle I used the mcs winter wishes disc and papers are from the follie disc

this is one I have done for her to give a neighbour

I have used MSC christmas vol 1 for this one I do like some of the images on this disc

I really like how this one turned out it's a fizzy moon image I used some papers from the follies disc them I took a piece of white card and embossed it for another background

I do have some more to show but haven't taken pics yet so will put them on tomorrow or friday

A busy few days

Well that is what I was I had Saturday I spent all day designing cards didn't get chance to make any Phil's Nan came to collect the cards I made for her and she loved the penny farthing card and would you believe it not long after she had gone I saw the original with the other cards (well except one that is still missing)so Sunday was planned making cards all day after I had finished designing them.I still have a few to make but that's the easy part lol and the best part.All pets got covered glitter and so did Phil who was the other side of the room (not happy about it either hehehe)so any way here are some of the cards I have made so far

this one is from the MCS artist collection crumpton disc he is adorable it is Phil's granddads birthday on Saturday so this is from Amy

I have been doing my bit for the environment too the metal studs at the top of the card are from a belt Amy had a clear out of some stuff and had loads of belts (she still has loads even though she has got rid of some)and she asked me if I wanted the bits off any of them as some had
Diamante stones in I said yes and then some had these studs so I thought I can use those too so I got them off the belts and stuck some on here

Next is one I made for Carol (Phil's Mom) to give him

I have had this image for a while and love the colour of it so I decided to use it and I used some more of those studs too papers are from stash

This is the card I made for him from Phil and me I used popcorn cd for tyhe papers and image

This is one I did for Amy to give to my mom who's birthday is next Tuesday it's from the Artist collection and my first Smudge card the roses I made myself

So there you go there are some of the cards I will put the others on later going to have something to eat now as I have a hospital app later

My dear friend Gill is having another blog hop this time the is my favourite things now I thought long and hard about thiswhat could I possibly do so after a while I can up with Animals with all that has gone on with Scruff he has turned into a loving a very grateful cat Jasper has took to him as though he has always been here Charley is just Charley as always but even though you throw stuff at them they love you no matter what unconditionally. My ideal job would be to work in an animal shelter giving the rejected unloved animals some comfort (and as Phil has said bring them all home) (as if I would) maybe one day I will get to do it I don't know anyway back to the hop if you have come from Jen P's blog then you are in the right place if not but have decided to do the hop head on over to Gill's blog and start from the begining now if you are in the right place you need to pop over to Anita's blog but first I guess you would like to see my makes I got carried away and did 3 hope you like them

Spooky goings on

I have had a weird couple of days over the weekend I made some cards and had to take pics of them so I put them here by my computer ready for the morning so I could do just that got up tuesday morning ready to take pics the cards have vanished no where to be seen 5 of them just pufff gone and also I had some small glitter pots in a container on the floor by a chair (to lazy to put them away but I knew they were there) so went to move them they've gone too no where to be found as for the cards well one was for Phil's Nan as she needed a birthday card so I have to make it again no doubt now the original will show up but I have hunted high and low for these cards and no luck don't know is going on but the spooks that live with us must be having a whale of a time seeing me pulling my hair out.
Do I believe in that stuff yes I do I have seen my fair share of ghosts to know they are real and surely there has to be something after this life otherwise what is the point yes I have said I am not a religious person and no I'm not I don't believe there is a greater God or what ever and I can't understand why when we celebrate Easter it's on a different day each year my dad died on the 16th January 1997 and that is the day we remember his anniversary on every year what ever day of the week it falls on, now I am not having a go at any one if you believe in God and are religious then that's fine with me every one needs something to believe in and yes I believe in ghost's and Angels anyway as I said they must be having such a giggle at my expense just wait til I get over there with them I will pay them back they must have a stash of my stuff somewhere as it keeps going missing maybe they want to make cards too that would be good lol. I will try to take a pic of the remake tomorrow if it's still here it better had be have a great weekend

Xmas card batch makes

that's what I have been up to sometime last week I brought the Christmas boutique magazine filled with freebie stamps toppers and so on and the magazine was full of ideas now I always say to my self oh I must give that a go but usually never get round to it but on this occasion I did in fact twice yeah shocked you ain't I lol I didn't use all the stuff from the mag just some of the gorgeous papers the snowflakes and sentiment are from complete card making cd and from Sarah Paris I have took a liking to these as well anyway here are the cards

the buttons are from MCS papercraft Library and I added a gem to the centre of the snow flakes
here they are individually

Then THEN Simply cards and papercraft magazine fell through my door and I saw some more which I had a go at I am still in the process of making some but these are what I have done already

now this set of cards is using wrapping paper as you desinger paper I have just inked snow flakes onto it and embossed with silver melt dust then the rosette is made with just plain old copy paper done the same way and so is the strip of white across the card and sentiment just matted them onto silver mirri card punched out a paper snow flake and added a plastic one to the centre and then added a gem to the centre of that job done hope you like them I have some more bit is way to dull to take decent pics so will show tomorrow have a great day

That's the theme for this fortnights challenge over at http://creationsbygillm.blogspot.com so you can imagine my horror when I saw we had to do this lol anyway I came up with this

All papers and image are from Mcs collectors edition the larger piece of backing paper goes to a browny green but there is a touch of green in the image too so I thought it worked well hope you like it oh and I also got some other cards done which I will show later or tomorrow depending on weather for pics

Haha never I refuse point blank who wants to be old not me I do sometimes wish I was still a kid but back then not now anyway this is the theme over at http://thepoodlesparlour.blogspot.com so we have so much fun using Jacq's digi's on this challenge I used lil mechanic and really went to town making my card look really oily and grubby oh this is the crafting I like getting inky!!!!!! so here he is

I mage as I have said is one of Jacqui's coloured in PM's the papers are from MCS mens lite and so are the srew heads then I just went over the edges with some black onk to make it look ioly I like the out come

and yes those screws are just paper hope you l=ike it and please please do have a go see you over there

Yep I am still feeling very tender after my day at NEC on Sunday so haven't managed to get any crafting done so far this week Hhhhmmmmpphhhhh must sort that out got tons to do anyway over at http://paper-craftingjourney.blogspot.com we have another great challenge for you the theme we want to see is embossing and here is my card

one of the papers is from sharon Duncan embossibility discs so is fake embossed but still and then the piece being the image is embossed through my cuttle bug do you remember those felt flowers I made a while back well here are some of them

NEC for Me

Hi All hope you are having a fabby weekend I have been to NEC and it was heaving so Many people OMG had a chat with some of the lovely demonstrators Sara Davies being one of them what a lovely lady she is she said she was tired but she didn't let it show and neither did Barbara Gray although her eyes did look rather blood shot but she was the pro we know and love and the I spoke to Paul and Anthony from Pinflare Gill I will email you about that.So how am I very sore and achy my Tinnitus is screaming in my ears and with the pain from my ears I have a throbbing head ache but apart from that I had a great day with my Mom in Law and friend we did split up and go our separate ways for a while then met up again I brought some more TH distress inks and some more Pro marker I got some shrink plastic can't wait to play with that have used any in ages and I got some mix and match frame creators and both enveloper box boards from Crafter's Comp the one is the new one that you can make A4 size envelopes and boxes that was when I spoke to Sara we also went round the other part too as my MiL wanted some of the beer and wine they sell there didn't seem to be as many there this time in that part and last year there seemed more variety too but still it was good I was itching to get to my part though so that was my day I am now going to try to recover so will see you all tomorrow
